জেলের দেওয়াল হল একটি পয়সার মতো। যার একপিঠে রয়েছে দুরন্ত বিশ্ব, যে নিজের গতিতে ছুটে চলেছে আর অন্য পিঠে সময় যেন থেমে গিয়েছে। এরই নাম জেল যেখানে কয়েদিদের বারবার মনে পরে যায়, তাদের ভুলের কথা। যাই হোক এখান থেকে ছাড়া পাওয়ার জন্য কয়েদিদের অপেক্ষা করতে হয় বছরের পর বছর।
কিন্তু ইতিহাস এই সমস্ত কয়েদিদের উপর ছিল, খুবই নির্মম যেখানে কয়েদিরা ছাড়া পাওয়া তো দূরের কথা তারা বেঁচে থাকার আশা টুকুও ছেড়ে দিত। কয়েদিরা শুধু অপেক্ষা করত মৃত্যুর জন্য যা তাদের এই ভয়ঙ্কর নির্মম জীবন থেকে মুক্তি দেবে।
