Matira Beach was the largest public beaches on the island of Bora Bora and was a great spot for snorkeling. We visited this beach several times during our stay. There is a large sand bar that was home to a variety of fish and invertebrate. Further down the beach the water drops to about 15 feet exposing large coral rock structures.
