This was the spot that almost was.

I had begun a deep dive into Final Cut Pro 2, and I decided to create a local sizzle reel of the upcoming PBS fall programs. The campaign proved so successful, a reporter from Daily Variety contacted the national PBS office and asked about this "Revolution will be televised" campaign. Since I created the campaign for a Los Angeles-only audience, the national office had no idea what they were talking about. Reluctantly, the national PBS office called me to inquire about the fall campaign that had outshined their own efforts. They agreed to let the Daily Variety reporter interview me about the rogue campaign. And then... 9/11. Everything before that day was forgotten. The article never happened. But I still consider this a creative breakthrough for myself. It was early in my career, and with this spot I proved that I had the strategic chops to compete on a national stage.
