One sunny day, a crow watched a powerful eagle swoop down and snatch a small lamb from a flock, carrying it easily to its nest. The crow thought, "That looks easy! I'll catch my dinner the same way."
The foolish crow spotted a large ram with a thick, heavy fleece grazing nearby. Thinking greedily, the crow swooped down and gripped the ram with his claws. He flapped his wings hard, but the heavy ram was impossible to lift.
The annoyed ram bucked and tried to shake the crow off. The crow realized his mistake and tried to fly away, but his claws were now hopelessly tangled in the thick fleece.
The struggling and squawking woke the shepherd. Laughing at the sight, the shepherd calmed the ram, cut the fleece with his shears, and freed the embarrassed crow.
"Next time, pick an animal your own size!" the shepherd called out. The crow flew away, vowing only to act like a regular crow from then on.
