How is our increasingly multi-polar world impacting the West’s self-understanding as a strategic bloc and how are traditional relations between Western powers being re-defined? The session explores how emerging developments in the global order, the continued rise of China, an increasingly disruptive Russia, the emergence of powerful regional blocs in SE Asia and the increasing global relevance of emerging powers might shape these understandings.
