This song was a bit of a stretch. I've known this tune for years, but never before on a hurdy gurdy. Can a hurdy gurdy sound lyrical enough so that it can perform this melody? I put myself to the test and adjusted the gurdy in such a way that I think it sounds like a viola or a high cello the most. Without losing the special character of the hurdy gurdy of course! It is an experiment to play this melody on an instrument that is still best known from fast balfolk tunes, medieval dances and sea shanties. I'm curious to hear what you think of this! Do you think it works?
