Full flight | WestJet Boeing 737-8CT | WS160 Vancouver to Edmonton (C-GWSX)

Welcome onboard! On 23 May 2024, I flew on WestJet from Vancouver to Edmonton to give a series of Jack Talks the following day. They're mental health talks by jack.org where we get to share about mental health basics, being there for ourselves and others, resources, storytelling, and ways to join our programs. This was my first out of province speaking engagement and also my first visit to Edmonton in 11 years!

This flight video is pretty much concentrated on the outside views as the flight crosses the Coastal and Rocky Mountains of British Columbia and Alberta, and also the WestJet product really isn't that special, with a generic cabin without IFE, as well as with the original dated cabin of the 737 NG, and a brief snack and drink service. WestJet is not a usual airline I choose to take, as this flight was paid by jack.org (similar to the Powell River and Jack Summit flights the previous years) and so they just went with the cheapest option for the specific travel dates. This 737-800 aircraft, C-GWSX, is about 14 years old and is the same aircraft type that Mentour Pilot is a captain of, and also the depicted aircraft in several publicly-accessible flight simulators around the world, including Threshold Aviation in Toronto.
