On February, 4 2022, Loudon County Deputy Sargeant Chris Jenkins stopped with his lights on to remove a ladder that was in the roadway. Unfortunately, this was his last act as a first responder. The truck driver that killed him admitted later to being impaired. He was recently sentenced to 10 years in prison!!
