Creative's Inspire 5.1 5200 speaker system offers full-bodied sound from a compact design, making it a terrific choice for stereo PC music, movie, or game listening - including EAX and DirectSound 3D games. The system comes with a set of five bookshelf/satellite speakers and a 17-watt powered subwoofer made of reinforced-wood. Convenient speaker stands angle the satellites toward your listening position. The Inspire series aims to provide the highest-value speakers that Creative can offer, balancing cohesive psychoacoustic "imaging," sonic accuracy, and affordability.
Inspire 5.1 5200 has the ability to simulate 5.1-surround sound from Sound Blaster 4-channel sound cards using Creative's proprietary CMSS upmix technology. The 6-watts-per-channel satellites use Creative's Image Focusing Plate (IFP) design for broad sound dispersion that doesn't interfere with the speakers' natural tonal balance. You can mount the supplied wired remote control anywhere on your desktop so volume adjustments will always be right at your fingertips. The system offers an independent bass-level control and a single stereo minijack (.125-inch) analog audio input.
The system's five compact speakers - earmarked for center channel, front left and right, and surround left and right - and subwoofer are designed as a cohesive set. Each speaker is sonically matched and driven by its own discrete amplifier. The center, front, and rear satellites take up minimal desktop space, while the non-directional subwoofer can be placed behind or under furniture, or anywhere else that's out of the way.
What's included: Three front speakers with attached 6-foot cables, two rear speakers with attached 16-foot cables, one subwoofer, a wired volume/bass control with power switch and a headphone jack, a power supply adapter, and a quick-start guide.

These speakers offer incredible sound quality for music, gaming, and movie watching. They give clear bass at all volume levels, and unlike many models of computer speakers when there is a strong bass level - it doesnt drown the rest of the audio out, nor does it overload the speakers. Extremely crisp sound from the 5 satellites and there is an acceptable amount of bass for normal music listening even with the sub-woofer turned all the way off. With it turned up, DVD's and games are brought to a par-level with my old Panasonic stereo when it was hooked up to my computer. Overall, for the performance, the cost is absolutely minimal. Get these if you need sound to come, cheap, fast, and awesome.
The Creative Inspire 5.1 5200 system includes five satellites with 6 watts RMS each, an 18 watt RMS subwoofer, plastic speaker stands, a wired remote, and a setup pamphlet which gives you a quick overview of setting up the system. There are also three 6-foot cables for the front and center speakers and two 16-foot cables for the rear speakers, so you actually have a bit of room if you want to space out your rear satellites a bit. As we've come to expect, all of the speakers feed through the subwoofer via RCA outputs.
The 4" tall 3" deep cubed satellites sport 2.5" speaker cones, and provide excellent quality sound for their size. The 5" wood-encased, ported subwoofer provides solid bass.
These speakers are suited for games and home theater. There are plenty of games that support surround sound, and these speakers do a good job of giving you the surround experience for a cheap price.
The 5200s look very slick and modern. Included with the speakers are five black, arced plastic bases. Not only do they look sleek and stylish, but they're functional as well. This 5.1 speaker system will fit almost anywhere as well. You can tuck the tiny cube satellites in almost any space, with the center channel taking its spot on top of your television or monitor and the sub slipped under your desk.
All in all, the Inspire 5.1 5200s are solid performers at a low price. They are a fantastic deal at under $100.
