Ned Beauman is 29 years old, and was born in London. His debut novel Boxer, Beetle ("Dazzling" - The Guardian) won the UK Writers' Guild Award and the Goldberg Prize for Outstanding Debut Fiction and was shortlisted for the Guardian First Book Award and the Desmond Elliott Prize. His second novel The Teleportation Accident ("Extraordinary" – The Sunday Times) was longlisted for the Man Booker Prize and won the Encore Award and a Somerset Maugham Award. The year after its publication he was named one of Granta's Best of Young British Novelists. His third novel Glow will be published in the UK in May 2014.
