Despite Michael’s inability to play defense on their intramural basketball team, he did manage to catch Carmen's attention and steal her heart. With a combination of love, attention, and willingness to have fun no matter how silly he looked, Michael not only won over his soon to be fiancé but also her family. He might have checked all the correct boxes for her, but Carmen had already checked all of the right boxes for Michael much earlier.

Although there had been plenty of obstacles due to Covid, the couple finally got to celebrate their wedding day on New Years Day and ring in the New Year with incredible style. It was amazing to see St. Anne de Detroit in full Christmas decor, and the Colony Club felt more like a warm home than a venue. It even gave us a bit of snow just in time for our evening photo session, adding to the magic of the moment!
