Gulen: Turkey 'Doesn't look like a coup'

(18 Jul 2016) The US-based Islamic cleric accused by Ankara of orchestrating Friday's attempted coup told the Associated Press he had nothing to do with it and accused President Erdogan of staging a "hoax" to further his political aims.
"Empty buildings were bombed, people fired on innocent civilians, tanks were positioned in places and did nothing. When you look at this big picture, this is not the picture of an authentic coup," said Fetullah Gulen.
Turkey's justice minister says his government expects the United States to extradite Gulen.
US Secretary of State John Kerry has said Washington might consider extradition, but required evidence proving the cleric's wrongdoing.
