Came across this rather old Opinel no 8 which belonged to my father. It needed some attention and that's what it got. I didn't use expensive Japanese sharpening stones on purpose, just to show that you can get an excellent result using much simpler and cheaper methods too. That said I very much enjoy using mentioned stones but for the average person who just needs to get a small blade up to date every so often other methods are definitely viable 👍🏻🙂
