A resident of Merkel, Texas, discovered a snake in his toilet bowl, to his surprise (and probably the snake's as well).

Gus West posted footage of his attempt to remove the snake from the toilet using a golf club.

“Had a little visitor at the house today,” he said in a post alongside the video.

Speaking to Storyful, West added that the snake survived the ordeal.

“I live in the country so I just took the snake and put it in the backyard because they’re good at keeping rats away,” he said.
