Lucia Buyanza, RN diploma ’2002, Post-RN BScN ’2010

Lucia grew up in Kibera, Nairobi, Africa's largest slum. Determined to become a nurse, she completed her RN diploma and then her bachelor’s in nursing from AKU’s School of Nursing and Midwifery in East Africa. She was appointed as deputy nursing supervisor of the medical ward at the government-run Mbagathi Hospital in Nairobi, with a passion for serving in the ward and in her community.
