🇬🇷CORFU GREECE IN JULY - TRAVEL VLOG - BEAUTIFUL SCENERY & LOTS OF SWIMMING 🇬🇷


Hi there, as a family one of our favourite countries to visit is Greece. We love the scenery, the food, the people & overall chilled aspects of the islands. My husband holidayed on Corfu in his early 20's however, the rest of us have never been. Therefore, when a great deal came up to go to Corfu in July 2019 we had to go!! We based ourselves in Messonghi (around 30 min drive from the airport and Corfu town) which is on the lower east coast with perfect calm and shallow waters for swimming and some really lovely bars and restaurants. We stayed in the Apollo Palace which we can highly recommend.

In this video, we arrive in Messonghi at sunset which gives us just enough chance to have a wonder around before it gets dark - absolutely stunning!! Then you get to follow us on Captain Homer's Corfu Town boat trip, visiting 'mouse island' to see the planes landing low above our heads and you see us swimming in the sea. In the second part of this video, we go on another boat trip with Captain Homer in Messonghi and this time we booked a full day boat trip around the south of Corfu Island. We definitely recommend this trip, we had so much fun and were taken to absolutely stunning beaches for family friendly swimming fun. The following day, we took a local bus from Messonghi (just outside our hotel - Apollo Palace) to the north west of the Island to Paleokastrista for the day. It took around 1.5 hours and costs 5euro each way. We walked up to the monastery and took a boat ride around the coves and into caves....we loved it here, a very pretty part of Corfu.
