Shellie Fajardo Richards is a Professor in the Communication of Science and Technology Program at Vanderbilt University, where she teaches technical writing and science communication. She also researches how language is used in news media and health communication, and received a Buchanan Fellowship to study journalists’ language during the pandemic. Furthermore, her novel The November Molecule won two Bookfest awards, including 1st place, and was featured on the Times Square billboard in 2023.
