FOOTBALL fans have sensationally claimed the FA Cup fourth round draw was RIGGED after some favourable ties were handed to the Premier League big boys.

Top of the tree Arsenal were handed a clash hosting League One Wigan, while Chelsea will pay a visit to Liam Rosenior‘s former club Hull and Manchester City will take on League Two opposition in one of Salford or Swindon in Round Four.

Many of the most disgruntled supporters appeared to be Aston Villa and Newcastle fans, with the two Prem sides now on a collision course to clash on the weekend commencing February 14.

Fans took to social media to vent their fury after the draw, which was made by Jolean Lescott and Steve McManaman before Liverpool’s match vs Barnsley.

One fan bizarrely claimed: “Another rigged draw for Manchester City. Second-lowest seeded team at home as per. Couldn’t give them Macclesfield, would be too obvious.”

A second said: “One good game all draw, just rigged at a new level.”

A third conspiracist added: “Yet another rigged FA Cup draw.”

Another said: “ROSENIOR SOMEHOW DRAWS HULL CITY, MOST RIGGED FA CUP DRAW I’VE EVER SEEN.”

A fifth said: “The big six all get easy draws again whilst avoiding each other cos the FA Cup draw is rigged yet Newcastle Utd always get the toughest fixtures too.”

A sixth joined in with the suspicious theory, adding: “No hesitation, no doubts, the draw was rigged.”

There is absolutely no suggestion the draw was actually “rigged” by organisers, with many of the comments appearing to simply bemoan the bad luck of the teams they support compared to rivals who may have been more fortunate.
