Global Gooners: Bringing supporters home with Emirates!

Emirates have been on the hunt for Gooners who love football to bring them home to north London.

This year’s lucky winner of the Emirates Global Gooners competition was Haruka from Yokohama, Japan. In recognition of his unwavering support, Emirates flew him out to London for the very first time.

Haruka never misses a game, even when it means waking up at 3:30 local time and though he often watches alone, he never feels lonely supporting The Arsenal.

"I can’t imagine my life without Arsenal," he said, ahead of the once-in-a-lifetime trip. "It will be an irreplaceable memory for me to watch the Arsenal game at Emirates Stadium.”

Haruka's VIP matchday experience was one to remember for a host of reasons as we cruised to a 5-0 victory over Chelsea at Emirates Stadium back in April.

The Emirates Cabin Crew were on hand to provide a personalised Arsenal shirt, alongside a warm pitchside welcome before the action kicked off.

After the fantastic result, there was still one more surprise in store. As Haruka took in the stadium and pitch for one final time, Martin Odegaard headed back out of the tunnel to meet him.
