Transcript: China EV Post is reporting that BYD’s sub-brand Fang Cheng Bao has revealed the interior of its upcoming Tai 7 SUV as it gears up for a fourth-quarter launch. The Tai 7 is a hybrid SUV designed for families, featuring a softer, more refined interior style compared to the rugged Bao 8.

It will offer two hybrid options: a four-wheel drive long-range model with a 35.6-kWh battery delivering about 112 miles of electric range, and a standard-range two-wheel drive version with a 26.6-kWh battery offering 84 miles. With both gas and battery power combined, the total driving range exceeds 800 miles.

Inside, the Tai 7 includes a large central touchscreen, a compact driver display, and comes in gray, blue, or orange interiors. A new in-house BYD tablet will also debut in this SUV. It’s the first unibody hybrid from the brand, combining off-road capabilities with everyday comfort, and will include versions with and without LiDAR.

Fang Cheng Bao is gaining momentum, with July sales reaching over 14,000 vehicles—a 670% jump from last year. Most of those were the smaller Tai 3, but the larger Tai 7 is expected to bring even more attention when it hits the market later this year.
