In today’s video, I return to bespoke tailor Paolo Martorano’s atelier in New York City for the first fitting of a truly special second commission: a double-breasted suit cut from the iconic Fox Flannel.

And what better second commission to follow up my single breasted Smith Woolens Finmeresco than a double-breasted suit in another iconic cloth! At this early stage, we begin to see the suit come to life. The basting stitches reveal the framework of Paolo’s precise craftsmanship, while the double-breasted silhouette starts to hint at the power and presence the final garment will command. Paolo guides me through this critical moment of the bespoke process, where adjustments are made to perfect the balance, posture, and drape that define true bespoke tailoring.
