First, we'll have a high-impact conversation at the intersection of climate science and cutting-edge solutions. The glaciologist Brent Minchew, the climate communicator Kate Marvel, and the nonprofit leader Manuela Zamora join the Atlantic staff writer Ross Andersen to dive into what’s changing—and what’s possible—when science meets urgency. Then, the Atlantic senior editor and Floodlines creator Vann R. Newkirk II leads a deep dive into the future of natural disasters—and how systemic inequities fuel their impact. Joining him are the environmental-justice icon Catherine Coleman Flowers and the producer and showrunner of Netflix's “Katrina: Come Hell and High Water,” Alisa Payne, in a must-hear conversation about the stories we tell and the systems we need to rebuild for a just and resilient future.

This session will also feature a conversation produced by our underwriter Allstate. The Atlantic’s chief revenue officer and publisher, Alice McKown, will join Allstate leadership to discuss the resilience gap and why disaster preparedness still matters.
