With the much-deserved bombastic success of Britney Spears ' brand new memoir, "The Woman In Me," Britney is finally getting to share her story in her own words using her own voice. Similarly, as she's always used her music to communicate with the world, but some of her most opinionated songs didn't make the album tracklists as she intended.

"You Were My Home" is probably one of the saddest, most raw songs Britney has ever written. Never even officially recorded that we jnowof, and only performed live on the Dream Within A Dream Tour in 2002, this ballad has long ben speculated to be about her pain in the aftermath of her breakup with Justin Timberlake. Knowing what we know now about how he ended things and her having to go back on tour despite her immense pain, I think its safe to say the speculation is correct. I'd never put words in Britney's mouth though, but I think this song pairs with the emotion and vulnerability expressed in the book. Even if it's 20 years later, let's amplify Britney's voice in any way we can and shine a light on how even back then, she was speaking from the truest depths of her beautiful, albeit broken, heart.

That's what this upload is about. Relating the deepest cuts, the fan favorites and B's own favorite works, back to the groundbreaking book in which they are mentioned, revisited and upon which more information is given.

I don't own the rights to this music. All rights go to the respective copyright holders: Jive/RCA, Zomba, and most importantly, Britney Jean Spears. Because without her, none of those entities would be what they are.

Buy Britney Spears' "The Woman In Me" wherever books are sold. Not sponsored, but do it. Trust me.
