Despite China's aggressive moves in eastern Ladakh over the last few months, India has refused to stop work on the roads it is currently building on its territory in the areas along the Line of Actual Control. India has told China that the development of infrastructure along the LAC will continue without break as Beijing has developed infrastructure on its side of the line over the last few decades. The DS-DBO road, critical for access to north-eastern Ladakh, will be ready by October end. Work on new tunnels on routes leading to Ladakh is set to start soon. The Atal Tunnel at Rohtang has already been inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi.
