In this project, creative use of linear geometries and different lighting help produced an eye catching, edgy dining room that is cost effective at the same time. In the entrance area, two custom made wood screens are built to provide privacy to the inner dining room and act as sun screens to filter day light at the same time. The vertical lines and rhythm created here are repeated throughout the space.

As customers enter into the restaurant interior, their eyes are widen by the soft but yet eye catching led lights. Tubes of fluorescent lights are suspended from the open ceiling perpendicularly to the entrance and in a random pattern to create interest and energy.

The left side of the dining room is anchored by three large Teppanyaki tables. Guests can sit around the table to see their chef preparing the dishes on a flat grill. The hoods above the tenppan tables are covered in black color soffits that are accessorized with strips of white led lights. The combination of black color with strips of white light became great camouflage to conceal the otherwise not-so- appealing exhaust hoods. On the left wall is a custom made wood box with more led lights for color and contrast.

The flow of the perpendicular lines continues to the sake bar, where more colors are introduced to make it stand out and became the focal point in the room.

The right side of the restaurant is separated with a very graphical floor to ceiling divider that is eye catching, yet easy to make. To light up the sushi room, simple light bulbs dropped down from the ceiling with two pieces of round acrylic panels. Overall they resemble ripples made by the ocean to help strengthen the seafood theme. On the right wall, a custom designed 3-D wall sculpture is stalled. It adds depth, interest and dimensions to the sushi room.

Creative use of different lightings helps to make contrast and bold statements in this design.
