Veterans' Voices 2020: Ryan Pitts, Medal of Honor recipient

Veterans served their nation selflessly, but service sometimes weighs heavily on their mental health, and stigma can be a barrier to seeking help. With support from Google’s veteran community, a group of U.S. Veterans ranging from a Google employee to a retired Admiral shared firsthand stories about the value of coming forward and asking for help.

This is Ryan's story. He struggled with transitioning to civilian life, i.e. with the loss of his profession and lifestyle. After making the tough first call to get help, Ryan started prioritizing his own mental wellness.
