In this video, I will show you how to enable Access Point mode on a TP-Link router step-by-step. If you want to use your TP-Link router as a Wi-Fi extender or improve signal range in your home, office, or gaming room, then this TP-Link AP Mode setup guide will help you.

🛠️ Step-by-Step Tutorial (What I Did in the Video):

1️⃣ First, remove all LAN cables from the TP-Link router.
2️⃣ Then go to the TP-Link login page — usually http://192.168.0.1/

3️⃣ Because we reset the router, it will ask you to create a new password when logging in for the first time.
4️⃣ After login, go to Operation Mode and select Access Point, then click Save.
5️⃣ The router will now reboot.
6️⃣ Reconnect to the TP-Link Wi-Fi and log in again using the password you just created.
7️⃣ Open Quick Setup and click Next.
8️⃣ By default, it is already in Access Point Mode, so click Next again.
9️⃣ Here, you can change your Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password, but I continued with the default settings.
🔟 Under LAN Type, choose Static IP.

📌 Set the IP in the same range as your main router:

If your main router is: 192.168.29.1 example

Set TP-Link to: 192.168.29.2 or higher
⚠️ Don’t use the same IP as the main router.

Then disable the DHCP server, because the main router will handle IP allocation.
Remember: The static IP you assign becomes your new login IP.

After that, click Finish and the router will reboot again.
Once it restarts, connect to your TP-Link Wi-Fi and try logging in with the new IP address to confirm everything is working.

Finally, reconnect your LAN cable — but very important — connect it to the LAN port, NOT the WAN port.

Boom — your TP-Link router is now successfully working as a Wi-Fi Access Point.
