SHOREFISHING SAN DIEGO: CARLSBAD LAGOON 🎣👀🍿

Howzit gang so we go to Spot #2 in our San Diego summer holoholo adventures-Carlsbad lagoon. We arrive at the spot and are immediately greeted by a host of furry guests, and as you will see the do's and don'ts with these things. Me and Fishdroppah will be trying a few different 🎣 techniques as we try to figure what types of rigs and baits will hanapa'a at this spot. We go to the tried and true Hawaiian style dunking setup and also run floater rigs with surprising results. Now that I figured out how to work the new fishcam, it's time to drop it in! You guys get to see 👀 what creatures lurk in the waters of the LAGOON! I first start with raw shrimp and ika(squid) for bait, then I catch a small opaleye on the floater setup and decide to see if live bait will get any action-I hook it up and drop it on the fishcam. Pretty interesting footage for sure, and gives us a better idea of how to rig our lines next time. Many funny moments during this session-then we cross the road to try the seaside jetti action. I embarrass myself not once but twice as I attempt to cast my dunking line under a bridge 😖.
