River overflows in China! caused flash floods in Pingwu, Sichuan.

At 6:00 am on July 12, 2022, in Muzuo Township, Pingwu County, Sichuan Province, a flash flood occurred due to heavy rains and overflowing of the river, causing traffic, electricity, and communications to be cut off. According to a video taken by a local netizen, the Fujiang River in Pingwu is full of wood. Several roads were destroyed by water and farmhouses were washed away.

It was reported that the Pingwu public security traffic police had persuaded vehicles bound for Jiuzhaigou and Baima to return to the Beishan guard post, and implemented temporary traffic control on the Yuejin Road section. Except for emergency vehicles, all other vehicles are prohibited from passing.

After a flash flood occurs, the local area immediately launches a secondary flood control emergency response, and immediately carries out various tasks such as road cleaning, emergency rescue and so on.

Currently, the rescued villagers have been properly resettled. The affected people were moved to a temporary settlement site at the Pingwu County Vocational High School with sufficient living materials. Other refugees were resettled in the form of relatives and friends.
