'I don't make videos, I create moving images' impAIred
Between 01-01-2024 and 04-20-2024 In a burst desperation, creativity and madness, I created over 40 000 images in a vast array of styles and unorthodox ideas. Then all came to an abrupt stop when I burnout and subsequently a emotional nervous breakdown.
Presently I have been organizing all the images into separate collections and PDF books. Now it's the time to turn some of them into 'moving images', eventually to be seen in platforms like this one. Enters; D!ck Ed, the BandLab Bandit Beatmaker, to provide the soundscapes for each collection.
We are a collective of three distinct characters; impAIred, responsible for all things visual. D!ck ED, the pioneer of the LegoCore beatmaking style and buzbebop, the failed stand up comedian, takes care of all the writing and conceptual ideas. We all live in this 3D carcass of a 60 something male specimen. From there, with the help of a $180 second hand computer, we ran the highly underground, leftfield and ultra secretive; 'Creating Shit Out Of Free Shit Art Studio'. They run an art sweatshop, and I am the only slave labor.
Now, let's talk about the elephant with the biggest proboscis in the room. I am a self taught artist with AI doing all of the heavy lifting, however, the difference between these pieces existing or not, is the little something that I did. To you, I am just another opportunist, bandwagon jumper of the latest trend to make a quick coin, to me, it's a bit more personal then that. At age sixty one, I officially lost everything I owed. All that survived are these images, a shitty computer and a few items of clothing, not much to build myself up, but I ain't calling it quits yet. I have to see this trainwreck till the bitter end. In the meantime, I am trying my luck here looking for some visibility. I am not here for your pity, likes, shares, subscribes, ad sense, gofundme, by me a coffee, by a course, and please if your comments are to just beat someone who's already down. Spare me please. I may lost everything but I haven't lost my self respect and dignity.
Now that we established that I am old as fuck, an art pariah, and on top of that, I use AI, let's move to the next elephant shall we?
I don't know a note of music, even if they had teeth and were biting my ass. I don't play an instrument. I know, less than shit. I happen to find BandLad, and I say this with affection. They managed to dumb music making so low, to the point, even I, could pick up just enough basics to create my own style of beats: LegoCore, and that means only two rules; a) All on the click. b) all in the same key, that sets the choice of samples and use them as if they were sonic pieces of Lego. I am making on average two minute beats, so moving images have something complimenting them, nothing else. I am not the next superstar DJ writing a club classic, just somewhat pleasant noise. So please, me too, D!ck ED, spare me the expertise and mixing advice, I'm too old for a crap music career. I'm just an old guy fighting boredom while I can, This is all the best I can do what I had/have. Come for the curiosity, stay for the underline humor. If I can laugh at my predicament and short comings, so can you. As for the cheap layout of the moving images, that looks more like something from Windows 95, made in Taiwan. I like the 'no thrills' feel to it. I could've done that too with AI, templates and what not, and as for the beats too, but that would going too far for me, I love to have as much input as I can, and this one geriatric operation is a lot of hard work, and the pay is shit.
