Post-Impressionism: Who was Pierre Bonnard?

I will have to be honest and say that I had no idea about Pierre Bonnard before working on this episode. For me, he was another vague name.

As I started conducting my research, I entered the world of a passionate artist who had a significant influence on today’s art. Like many artists, Bonnard wanted to be different and break the rules of traditional art. Despite his father’s pressure to pursue a safer career in law, he kept painting alongside his studies.

His story and pieces made me realize that life can be surprising by putting certain people on your path. When he met his friends at the Beaux-Arts in Paris, they decided to join forces and start a new movement: the Nabis.
