Hello, I’m Joe - I’m a guitar player, singer-songwriter, producer, recording engineer and teacher!

On this channel you’ll find my original songs, covers and solo fingerstyle guitar arrangements. My favorite music doesn’t fit neatly in a box so you may hear me play folk, blues, jazz, & classic rock - you can call it what you want; I feel honored to speak this timeless language of melody, harmony & rhythm.

I was born on May 25th 1991 in Kempsey, NSW, Australia. Since 2010 I have been based in the US and currently live in the Rocky Mountains of Montana with my wife, Genevieve (who teaches illustration on YouTube!).

I play Maton acoustic guitars, made in Australia (just like me) and am very proud to have my own signature instrument, the JR Signature!

I have had the amazing opportunity to learn from and perform with many of my guitar and musical heroes and mentors including Tommy Emmanuel, whom I met when I was 11 years old, Eric Johnson, Robben Ford, Steve Vai, Rodney Crowell, Emmylou Harris, Vince Gill and many others. Over the years I have performed over 2000 concerts and taught workshops at places such as Berklee College of Music, Musicians Institute, Belmont University in Nashville and various other music schools and conservatoriums across Europe, Asia, Australia and North America.

I have 6 albums currently available on all streaming services. 🎶 My earlier albums are fingerstyle solo guitar instrumental records, and I have several more recent albums recorded with a trio (bass & drums). These recordings are influenced by funk, blues, r&b, jazz fusion and classic singer songwriter artists.
