This building is of very historical importance. This was the garage or motor khana of last ruler of former princely state Bahawalpur, Hishighness Nawab Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan Abbasi Fifth. Nawab Of Bahawalpur had 72 cars, in which Rolls-Royce, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, Sharlet, Buke, Ford, and MG were included. He also had a car which he gifted to the founder of Pakistan Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, on which he traveled when he was going to take oath as first Governor General of Pakistan with the then Viceroy Lord Mountbatten. Nawab Sadiq was a great ruler. People still mourns him. Bahawalpur was one of the wealthiest states at the time of partition. Now this building is under possession of Nawab Sadiq Abbasi Fifth's grandson Prince Usman Abbasi. Government need to take care of these historical buildings in order to revive rich heritage of bahawalpur state.
