'On We Sail' - A Tribute to the Tall Ship 'Lord Nelson'

Описание к видео 'On We Sail' - A Tribute to the Tall Ship 'Lord Nelson'

The British barque 'Lord Nelson' was decommissioned on 11 October 2019 after 33 years service with the Jubilee Sailing Trust charity. She was the first tall ship designed to be accessible for people with disabilities and she completed many voyages including a circumnavigation of the world. She changed many lives for the better. Financial difficulties resulted in the JST making the decision to continue with one ship, 'Tenacious'. 'Nellie' is currently moored in Bristol dock while her future is decided. Let's hope she will sail again and welcome crews of all physical ability. Here is my tribute to Lord Nelson from film clips and photos I took on board. Huge thanks to Max Mudie from Tall Ship Stock for contributing superb videos and stills of Lord Nelson in all her full-sailed glory and to Rory Goodlad and Jenny Goodhand for photos at The End. Thanks to the Exmouth Shanty Men for their version of 'Leave Her, Johnny, Leave Her'. 'On We Sail' (written by Joe Topping) performed by Soiree (Sue Graves, Steve Poole & Hector Gilchrist). Film by Steve Poole
