Canadian pop rock singer-songwriter Andy Kim joins the show!

Montreal, Quebec native Andrew Youakim tried his hand in the music business with just forty dollars in his pocket. He worked numerous jobs, continuously recorded demos, before convincing music producer and songwriter Jeff Barry to give him a break.

Andy then recorded his debut single “How’d We Ever Get This Way” for label Steed in April of 1968, becoming a top 20 radio hit in Canada and US. From that point on Kim had looked full steam ahead, taking home the top male vocalist of the year at the 1968 Juno’s, co-wrote “Sugar Sugar” for the Archies plus a handful of songs on the Monkees album “Changes” as well as releasing his own groovy tune “Rock Me Gently” that soared to #1 on the billboard pop charts in 1974, selling six million copies.

The Quebec artist can now be found hosting “The Andy Kim Christmas Show”, an annual festive concert charity event raising money for the Children’s Aid Foundation.
