Fly Tying the Allegany All Purpose (AP) Nymph Fly Pattern

Created by Joe Sather of Baltimore, the Allegany is named after my farm in Allegany County, Maryland. A simple all-purpose fly pattern that is sure to be effective for trout as a general mayfly nymph. Try it as a general panfish or bluegill pattern as well.
