September 2021, A scenic drive over Beartooth Highway and Sunlight Basin.
Leaving Red Lodge Montana West bound on Hwy 212 it isn't long before you reach Custer National Forest and the beginning of Beartooth Highway.
This day trip is an awesome way to enjoy a spectacular ride in Montana & Wyoming.
The loop will take about 4-6 hours depending on stops and traffic.

Be aware that there is a large construction project that stretches from Beartooth campground westward for about 3/4 mile. 1 lane traffic and pilot cars will slow your ride. Wait is generally about 30min but can be longer and they close the road at 7pm each night so plan accordingly.
Due to the nature of the project and limited work time a completion date has not been set.
