The Indus Waters Treaty has been in the news for some time. But even as India is currently locked in dispute with Pakistan over two of its hydroelectric projects – Kishanganga and Ratle – on the western rivers of the Indus river basin, it’s plans to utilise the waters of the eastern rivers that are flowing to Pakistan, have hit a roadblock.
