Starters and Subs is a video activity that allows students to assume the role of basketball coach, choosing which words are "playing" and which words need to be "subbed in." As students compete against one another to make the best word choices, they will also practice using synonyms, antonyms, context clues, and shades of meaning.

This Level Five set - designed for 5th grade - includes 5 videos, each 13 minutes in length. That's 65 minutes of engaging class time!
