How to do Baddha Konasana | Bound Angle Pose in Ashtanga Yoga | Tips for Beginner Hip Opening

Описание к видео How to do Baddha Konasana | Bound Angle Pose in Ashtanga Yoga | Tips for Beginner Hip Opening

For people who experience tight hips, hip opening postures can be particularly challenging. Bound Angle Pose gently opens your hips and allows you to prepare for deeper postures, and with these tips, you can experience this pose with more comfort and ease.

In this tutorial, we’re discussing BADDHA KONASANA / BOUND ANGLE POSE from Ashtanga Yoga’s Primary Series. You’ll learn the traditional vinyasa cues and Sanskrit count as we show you both variations of the pose. You’ll understand the correct alignment for different parts of your body, including your feet, head, and back, and see how to meet the conditions of this pose before moving on to the next. We show you two things to watch for in your feet and arms, where and how to engage in your body, and how to create more room to fold forward… so you can work toward safely opening your hips in this pose.
