HeyUGuys sat down with Justin Tipping, director of the chilling new film HIM, produced by Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions.

Tipping talks about blending sports drama with psychological horror to create something audiences have never seen before. He shares how the idea first came to life, what it was like collaborating with Peele’s production company, and why he wanted to push boundaries of genre storytelling.

HIM tells the story of Cameron Cade (Tyriq Withers), a young football star whose career is destroyed after a violent attack. Taken in by his idol Isaiah White (Marlon Wayans), Cameron enters a world of power, obsession and manipulation with devastating consequences.

The film also stars Julia Fox, Tim Heidecker, Jim Jefferies, Maurice Greene, Guapdad 4000 and Tierra Whack, and will be released in UK cinemas on October 3rd, 2025.

Plot:
Rising football star Cameron Cade (Tyriq Withers) sees his future collapse after a violent attack leaves him with severe brain trauma. Just when his career seems over, he is taken under the wing of his idol, legendary quarterback Isaiah White (Marlon Wayans), who offers him sanctuary and training at his remote compound. But admiration soon twists into obsession, and Cameron is pulled into a chilling spiral of manipulation, power, and fame, with devastating consequences.

The film will be released in the UK on October 3rd, 2025.
