Gordon Lightfoot: The Last Troubadour

There are great musicians; there are great composers; there are great lyricists; and there are great poets. Rarely, however, there comes into the world an exceptional individual who is all these things, and when they leave,, they leave the world forever changed.

Gordon Lightfoot was just such a rare talent, a modern day troubadour whose songs captured the soul of nation, moved hearts and minds around the world, inspired hundreds of fellow artists, helped create a new genre and sound which would come to define the music of the 1960's and '70's, and left a legacy whose influence echoes in the music of today.

Gordon's career spanned 67 years, and he was still performing just weeks before his passing on May 1st, 2023. He left the world a much richer and more beautiful place for his having been in it.
