When a lump is detected in the breast, the first thing that we do is examine it and look for the symptoms like
🫵🏻Is it hard or soft
🫵🏻Single lump or multiple lumps
🫵🏻Breast nipple discharge or not
🫵🏻Any lumps in axilla
🫵🏻Any dimpling over the skin of lump
🫵🏻Any hardness
🫵🏻Any asymmetrical breast type
🫵🏻Any familial history of cancer
Etc

Depending upon the age of the patient, sono mammography is advised if you are more than 40 years of age which clearly gives us the diagnosis between a fibroadenoma and a breast cancer. Whereas if you’re less than 40 years old, then only sonography should be done.

BiRADS classification in the sonomammography report further confirms our diagnosis.
