Middle ear fluid has resulted in hearing loss and the underlying cause was prolonged nasopharyngeal and peritubal lymphoid tissue infection. Suctioning of tenacious mucus was performed for middle ear fluid after myringotomy performed and from the the nasopharyngeal discharge as well. Grommet was inserted in view of delayed lymphoid tissue healing and resolution of infection.
