LUAS - Ard Tí Cuain

Описание к видео LUAS - Ard Tí Cuain

Acoustic folk-roots meets elements of rock, jazz and electronics on uilleann pipes, fiddle, irish flute, guitar (dadgad), drums and keys.
A traditional Irish Gaelic exile song, presumably by a person in Scotland as they're looking over the Irish Sea and reminiscing about their native village of Ard Tí Cuain in Northern Ireland.

LYRICS

How I wish I was in Ard Tí Cuain. Where the mountains stand away. I would let the lonely sundays go by the quiet glen beneath the bay.

CHORUS (gaelic irish)
And it's oh Ireland you're my home, I have melancholy for Ireland, now my heart is heavy and sad.

There was manys a christmas day I had, In Cushendun while a lad; playing hurley on the white shore strand, with my good ash hurley in my hand.
But the grave is waiting for us all; The whole wide world must heed its call. It steals the mother from her brood as it stole away my boyhood.
If I only had a boat and oar, I would row to Erin's shore, trusting God to see me o'er in time for me to die in Ireland.
