What Happened to the American McGee's Alice Series?

There's a lot of Alice media out there it's one of the greatest tales ever told, everyone knows how it goes right?, each version of this classic tale is told with their own spin on it, well back in 2000 American Mcgee put his own twisted spin on it, releasing a game that then followed with a sequel 11 years later.

American McGee's Alice
The game's premise is based on the Lewis Carroll novels Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (1865) and Through the Looking-Glass (1871), but presents a gloomy, cruel and violent version of the setting. The game centers on the novels' protagonist Alice, whose family is killed in a house fire years before the story of the game takes place. After several years of treatment in a psychiatric clinic, the emotionally traumatized Alice makes a mental retreat to Wonderland, which has been disfigured by her injured psyche.

Alice: Madness Returns
It follows Alice Liddell, a young woman suffering from trauma caused by the death of her family in a fire. Alice was discharged from a psychiatric clinic and now lives in an orphanage for mentally traumatized orphans under the care of Dr. Angus Bumby. To get rid of the trauma and learn the truth about her past, she once again falls into Wonderland, where a new evil force has corrupted it.

Alice: Otherlands
Animated sequel to Alice: Madness Returns. It is a series of two short films and artwork developed by Spicy Horse to help bring closure to the Alice series, which was envisioned as a trilogy by American McGee.

Alice: Asylum
It was intended to be the finale of an Alice trilogy, and assumes the player has already experienced both American McGee's Alice and Madness Returns, both of which are vital to the story.
