This is how I taught Severus to do a back stall. Back stalls are flashy and fun, but they come with inherent risks. Practice this trick on soft, nonslip surfaces like grass. Dogs under two years old should not be asked to jump from heights so provide them with alternative ways to get off your back. Releasing them to a pedestal or some other furniture is a great alternative.
