Leyland National cold start 15/01/2020

Preserved former Alder Valley 251, Leyland National NPJ 472R, starting for the first time in months on a cold 15th January 2020.

A new exhaust pipe had been fitted to the bus and it was being started to check everything was fitted and working correctly. The new exhaust was bouncing around like Linford Christie's lunchbox as the mounting bracket at the end of the exhaust had not yet been fitted. Greta Thunberg would love the exhaust fumes from the cold Leyland 510 engine.
