Scripture shows that all human problems ultimately flow from sin inherited from Adam. Yet God’s Word is sufficient to address every kind of trouble, serving as a lamp and a light on the dark path we walk. Every Christian, not just professionals, is called to lovingly counsel one another through relationships of discipleship, correction, encouragement, and truth. The corresponding biblical solutions are confession for personal sin, forgiveness for the sins committed against us, and trust in the Lord amid suffering we did not cause. Though this work is difficult, largely hidden, and sometimes overwhelming, Christ is the foundation of it all, and the fruit of faithful biblical counseling is real change, restored hope, and growing maturity in Him.
