Today we are making a cocktail from the most famous Halloween Candy. A Candy Corn Old-Fashioned

I know I know what you are probably thinking. Candy Corn as an Old-Fashioned. I have not tried this, so I can’t say if this will be any good. Also never been a huge fan of candy corn. So I understand your trepidation.

But hear me out, Let’s look at candy corn flavor. I found this quote from a spokesperson for Jelly Belly who provided the official description of what candy corn is supposed to taste like (emphasis added):

"Candy Corn was modeled after corn in shape, but not taste. The actual flavor … Candy Corn is a wonderful blend of creamy fondant, rich marshmallow, and warm vanilla notes.”

Most of these flavors can be found in bourbon. So in theory may even highlight the wonderful tasting notes of the bourbon.

So let's make a Candy Corn Old-Fashioned
Candy Corn Old-Fashioned ingredients:
2 oz Halloween Edition of Smoke Wagon Straight Bourbon Whiskey
½ ounce of Candy Corn Simple Syrup
2 dashes of Orange Bitters
Orange slice

Making a Candy Corn Old-Fashioned:
In a mixing glass add the orange slice and orange bitters.
Muddle carefully
Place ice in the glass
Now add the ½ oz of Candy Corn Simple Syrup
With the 2 oz of Bourbon
Stir until chilled
Strain the chilled drink into a decorated Old-fashioned glass with a large ice
Garnish with Candy Corn
